# Keywords Gap

{% hint style="info" %}
**Good to know:** Focus on the long-tail keywords. These are longer and more specific keywords that are less competitive and can be easier to rank for. By identifying long-tail keywords that your competitors are ranking for but your website is not, you can take steps to optimize your content and online marketing strategies to target those keywords and improve your website's search engine performance.
{% endhint %}

Seodity's keyword gap feature is a powerful tool that allows you to compare the keywords that your website is ranking for with the keywords that your competitors are ranking for and identify gaps in your website's search engine performance. By identifying these gaps, you can take steps to improve your website's search engine performance and drive more traffic to your website.

Here's how the keyword gap feature works in Seodity:

1. Click on the "[competitors](/getting-started/finding-and-adding-competitors.md)" input in the Organic Traffic tab, and select the website you want to compete.

1. Seodity will analyze the organic search rankings of the selected websites and extract a list of keywords that each website is ranking for. Seodity will compare the keywords that your website is ranking for with the keywords that your competitors are ranking for and identify gaps in your website's search engine performance.
