On-site Audit allows you to analyze and identify potential issues on your website that may be affecting its performance in search engines. The audit analyzes over 100 factors that can affect your website's visibility and rank in search engine results pages (SERPs).

Before you can start the audit, you'll need to verify your domain. Seodity offers three different methods for domain verification:

  1. By adding a DNS record

  2. By adding an empty HTML file (with the name generated by Seodity)

  3. By adding an HTML tag to the homepage

Once you have verified your domain, you can access the On-site Audit by going to the "On-site Audit" tab in your project settings in Seodity.

The audit process can take a few hours, depending on the size of your website. After the analysis is complete, you will receive an email with the results. The audit report will highlight any potential issues that were found and provide a summary of their impact on your website's performance. You can drill down into specific issues for more detailed information and instructions on how to fix them.

Good to know: Prioritize the issues that were identified by the audit. Start by addressing the high-impact issues first, as they are likely to have the greatest impact on your website's performance. Then, work your way down the list, addressing the remaining issues in order of importance. This will help you to make the most of your time and resources and see the biggest improvements in your website's performance in the shortest amount of time.

In addition to identifying issues, Seodity's On-site Audit also provides advanced options for analysis, such as the Data Explorer, which allows you to conduct advanced filtering of the audit data to get a more in-depth understanding of your website's performance.
