Performance

Performance is an important aspect of any website, as it directly impacts user experience and can affect search engine rankings. The Performance feature in Seodity is designed to help website owners identify and address any issues that may be impacting the speed and overall performance of their site.

The performance analysis in Seodity is based on Google Lighthouse, an open-source tool that provides a comprehensive report on the performance of a website. This report includes information on the site's loading speed, speed index, time to interact, and more.

To access the Performance tab in Seodity, simply navigate to the On-site tab and select Performance from the drop-down menu. Here, you will be presented with a detailed report that includes information on the site's performance across different devices and connections, as well as specific issues that may be impacting performance.

Some of the key areas that Seodity's Performance tab will analyze include:

  • Loading time: Seodity measures the time it takes for your website to fully load, and provides recommendations for reducing load time.

  • Time to First Byte (TTFB): This metric measures the time it takes for the browser to receive the first byte of data from the server. A high TTFB can indicate that the server is taking too long to respond or that there are network issues.

  • Speed Index: This metric measures how quickly the content of a page is visibly populated. A high-speed index can indicate that the page is taking too long to load.

  • Time to Interactive (TTI): This metric measures the time it takes for a page to become fully interactive for the user. A high TTI can indicate that there are issues with the page's code or resources that are impacting interactivity.

  • Code Quality: This section of the report will analyze the code on the site and identify any issues, such as broken links, missing alt tags, and more.

  • Resources: This section will analyze the resources on the site, such as images and scripts, and identify any issues that may be impacting performance.

  • Resource size: Seodity analyzes the size of your website's resources, such as images, CSS and JavaScript files, and provides recommendations for optimizing and reducing their size.

  • Code structure: Seodity checks the structure of your website's code, including HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and provides recommendations for improving the organization and efficiency of the code.

  • Mobile optimization: Seodity checks for issues related to mobile optimization, such as responsive design and touch-friendly elements, and provides recommendations for improving the mobile experience of your website.

Once you have reviewed the report, you can use the provided recommendations to address any issues and improve the performance of your site. You can also use the Data Explorer to dive deeper into the data and customize your analysis. And you can track your progress with the performance metrics on a daily basis.

By regularly monitoring the performance of your site with Seodity's Performance tab, you can ensure that your site is running at its best and providing a great user experience for your visitors.
