> The interface (user experience) is really good. I have been doing SEO since 2007 and I've seen them all - SeoMoz, SemRush, Diib, Raven and many others. Seodity is one of the very rare piece of SEO Software that does not require a long onboarding. When you know what you are doing, you can go straight to what you need. # Search Intent

Search Intent, or user intent, is the primary goal or reason behind a user's online search query. It is essential to understand search intent to create relevant and targeted content for the audience. Search engines like Google prioritize content that aligns with the user's search intent, making it critical to optimize for it. There are four primary types of search intent:

### Types of Search Intent

#### 1. Informational Intent

* The user is seeking information on a particular topic or query
* Common in educational and research-based websites, blogs, and news sites
* Examples:
  * "how to make a cake"
  * "what is the capital of France"
  * "how does a solar panel work"

#### 2. Navigational Intent

* The user is searching for a specific website or webpage
* Often used when the user knows the website they are looking for but cannot remember the exact URL or need help navigating to the desired page
* Examples:
  * "Facebook login"
  * "Gmail"
  * "Amazon Prime Video"

#### 3. Transactional Intent

* User is looking to make a purchase or complete a specific action
* Common in e-commerce websites or service-based websites
* Examples:
  * "buy iPhone online"
  * "book flight tickets"
  * "order pizza online"

#### 4. Commercial Intent

* User is looking to compare or research a product before making a purchase decision
* Common in review sites, price comparison sites, and product comparison sites
* Examples:
  * "best DSLR cameras"
  * "iPhone vs. Samsung"
  * "best laptop for gaming"

### How to filter specific intent?

**Step 1:** Navigate to the Organic Traffic module on the Seodity platform.

<figure><img src="/files/ib6tQ5CC5PpDKEvBKJMt" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Step 2:** Locate the filter button and click on it to open the filter options.

<figure><img src="/files/x8Pxb0Eb7eeEM7HRE39f" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Step 3:** Select the intent column from the list of available columns in the filter options.

<figure><img src="/files/oS9LV3ewxGtlqgKsJvbN" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Step 4:** Choose the specific search intent you want to filter. For example, select "commercial" from the intent column if you want to filter for commercial intent.

<figure><img src="/files/la7zVU1S6G3uq4ejQbkU" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Step 5:** Once you have selected the specific search intent, click on the apply button to see the filtered results that match your selected intent.

<figure><img src="/files/hZnFJPYPitkzgjrpOwjg" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Importance of Search Intent in SEO

Understanding search intent is crucial for creating relevant and targeted content for the audience. When the content aligns with the user's search intent, it improves the user experience and increases the chances of the user staying on the website and engaging with the content. It also helps improve the website's search engine ranking as search engines prioritize content that aligns with the user's search intent.

### How to Optimize for Search Intent

To optimize for search intent, website owners and SEO professionals need to:

* Identify the primary search intent of the target audience
* Analyze the top-ranking websites for the target keyword and their content to understand how they align with the search intent.
* Create content that aligns with the user's search intent and provides value to the audience
* Optimize the content for the target keyword and other relevant keywords
* Monitor the content's performance and make necessary changes to improve its alignment with the user's search intent.

### Seodity Modules for Search Intent

Seodity offers several modules to help website owners and SEO professionals optimize for search intent. The Organic Traffic, Paid Traffic, Rank Tracker, and Keyword Research modules all have a column for search intent. The search intent column provides information on the primary search intent of the target keyword, making it easier to optimize the content accordingly. For example:

* A keyword like "best pizza near me" has commercial intent as the user is looking to compare or research a product before making a purchase decision.
* A keyword like "how to fix a leaky faucet" has informational intent as the user seeks information on a particular topic or query.

In conclusion, understanding search intent is crucial for any website owner or SEO professional looking to create relevant and targeted content for the audience. With the help of Seodity modules, optimizing for search intent becomes more accessible and effective, resulting in improved website ranking and increased user engagement.

Optimizing for search intent involves creating content tailored to the user's needs and aligning with their search's primary goal. This requires a deep understanding of the target audience and the search queries they use to find the content they need. By analyzing the search intent behind a keyword, website owners and SEO professionals can create content that provides the right value to the user and matches their needs.

For instance, if a user searches for "buy iPhone online," they have transactional intent, which means they are ready to make a purchase. Therefore, the website that appears in the search results should offer clear and concise product information, reviews, and a seamless checkout process to convert the user.

On the other hand, if a user searches for "best DSLR cameras," they have commercial intent, which means they are still in the research phase and looking to compare different products before making a purchase decision. Therefore, the website that appears in the search results should offer detailed and unbiased product reviews, comparisons, and other relevant information to help the user make an informed decision.

By optimizing for search intent, website owners and SEO professionals can improve their website's visibility and increase their chances of getting qualified traffic. This is because when the content aligns with the user's search intent, search engines are more likely to rank it higher in the search results. This, in turn, can lead to higher click-through rates, increased user engagement, and, ultimately, improved business outcomes.

# Domain and Page Rank

## Domain Rank

Domain Rank is a metric that represents the overall authority of a domain based on the quality and quantity of its backlinks. A higher Domain Rank indicates that a website has a more authoritative backlink profile, which often translates to better search engine rankings. The Domain Rank is calculated as the normalized sum of the Page Rank values of all indexed pages on a domain.

### Domain Rank Scale:

<table><thead><tr><th width="154">Domain Rank</th><th>Meaning</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>2-3</td><td>Newly created domains usually receive this score with few backlinks.</td></tr><tr><td>20-30</td><td>Large domains usually receive this score with many backlinks from authoritative pages.</td></tr><tr><td>50+</td><td>This score is usually received by huge domains with a significant number of backlinks from authoritative pages; very few domains have such rank scores.</td></tr></tbody></table>

## Page Rank

Page Rank is a metric that estimates the authority of a specific webpage based on the quality and quantity of its inbound links. A higher Page Rank indicates that a webpage is perceived as more important and authoritative, which can lead to better search engine rankings. Page Rank is calculated using a formula similar to the original Google PageRank algorithm.

Factors considered in Page Rank calculation:

1. The number of inbound linking pages.
2. The number of outbound links on each linking page.
3. The Page Rank of each linking page.
4. The damping factor simulates the probability of a random user continuing to click on links as they browse the web (it is perceived to decrease with each link click).

Please note that not all backlinks are equal. Depending on the types of backlinks, they may pass all their Page Rank or none. For example:

1. A 301 link passes all of its Page Rank to the destination page.
2. A 302 link passes the same amount of Page Rank as a regular backlink.
3. A canonical URL passes all of its Page Rank to the destination page.
4. A link with the "nofollow" attribute doesn't pass Page Rank but is still considered a backlink by Seodity.
5. A link with the "ugc" attribute doesn't pass Page Rank but is still considered a backlink by Seodity.
6. A link with the "sponsored" attribute doesn't pass Page Rank but is still considered a backlink by Seodity.

## Using Domain and Page Rank in Seodity's Backlink Module

Understanding your website's Domain and Page Rank can help you make informed decisions about your SEO strategy. Here are some ways to utilize these metrics in Seodity's Backlink Module:

1. Analyze your competitors: Research your competitors' Domain and Page Rank to understand their backlink profiles and identify areas where you can improve your website's SEO.
2. Identify high-quality backlinks: Focus on acquiring backlinks from websites with high Domain and Page Rank, as they will significantly impact your website's authority and search engine rankings.
3. Monitor your progress: Regularly review your website's Domain and Page Rank in Seodity's Backlink Module to track your SEO efforts and measure the effectiveness of your backlink-building strategy.
4. Disavow low-quality backlinks: If you find that your website has backlinks from low-quality or spammy websites, consider disavowing those links using Google's Disavow Tool to prevent any negative impact on your website's Domain and Page Rank.

# Lost and Active keywords

## What is the Lost/Active Column?

The Lost/Active column is a feature available in Seodity's Organic Traffic module, and Paid Traffic module that indicates whether a specific keyword was present or absent in the SERP when Seodity checked it. It provides valuable insight into the effectiveness of your SEO and PPC strategies and helps you identify areas that need improvement.

### Lost

* Keywords marked as "Lost" indicate that they were not present in the SERP when Seodity last checked.

### Active

* Keywords marked as "Active" indicate that they were present in the SERP when Seodity last checked.

## Why is the Lost/Active Column Important?

Understanding the status of your keywords in the SERP is crucial for optimizing your website's SEO and PPC strategies. By monitoring the Lost/Active column, you can:

1. Track your keyword performance over time.
2. Identify areas where your SEO and PPC strategies may be lacking.
3. Make data-driven decisions to improve your website's visibility and search engine ranking.

## Cases of Usage

### Case 1: Monitoring Keyword Performance

Regularly checking the Lost/Active column lets you quickly identify which keywords are performing well and which are underperforming. This allows you to adjust your content, SEO strategies, and PPC campaigns to focus on the most effective keywords and improve your website's overall performance.

### Case 2: Competitor Analysis

The Lost/Active column can be used to monitor your competitors' keyword performance. By comparing your website's keyword performance to your competitors, you can identify areas where they may outperform you and adjust your strategies accordingly.

### Case 3: Identifying New Opportunities

Tracking the Lost/Active column can also help you discover new keyword opportunities. If a keyword is consistently marked as "Lost," it may indicate that there is room for improvement in your SEO or PPC strategy. Optimizing your content and targeting these lost keywords can potentially improve your website's search engine ranking and ad performance.

## How to filter only active or lost keywords?

### FAQ

**Q: How often does Seodity update the SERP data for my keywords in the Organic Traffic module?**

A: The update frequency for SERP data in the Organic Traffic module depends on the query's search volume and the location's popularity. Typically, it takes around 30 to 90 days for a complete update of this data. However, Seodity strives to deliver up-to-date data for high-volume searches from popular locations like the USA within 60 days. Despite the longer update intervals, keywords are constantly updated to provide new results sooner than the maximum update time.

You can add your keywords to the **Rank Tracker module** for more frequent updates and **daily tracking.** This will allow them to monitor their keyword performance daily, ensuring the most up-to-date information about their keyword performance in the SERP.

**Q: What should I do if a keyword is consistently marked as "Lost"?**

A: If a keyword is consistently marked as "Lost," it may indicate that your current SEO or PPC strategy is ineffective for that keyword. Consider re-evaluating your content and on-page optimization, as well as researching competitor performance to identify areas for improvement. In the case of PPC, you might need to adjust your bidding strategies or ad targeting.

**Q: Can I export the data from the Lost/Active column?**

A: Yes, you can export the data from the Lost/Active column in various formats, such as CSV or Excel, for further analysis or reporting.

In conclusion, the Lost/Active column is an invaluable tool for tracking keyword performance and optimizing your website's SEO and PPC strategies across different traffic sources. By monitoring the column and using the information provided, you can make data-driven decisions to improve your website's visibility, search engine ranking, and online advertising performance.

# Domain Overview

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GHzLbj0qRZs>" %}

**Good to know:** Pay attention to the "Organic shares" section. It will give you insight into the countries where your website is getting organic traffic from. This can help you to identify the countries where your website is performing well and where you may want to focus more of your efforts to increase traffic.
{% endhint %}

In Seodity's domain overview, you can check a variety of information about a specific domain, such as:

* The monthly volume of organic keywords: This is the number of keywords for which the domain ranks in the organic search results.

Seodity's organic traffic allows you to analyze the organic traffic that your website is receiving and identify opportunities to improve your website's search engine performance. You can track the number of visitors your website is getting from organic search, understand how much traffic is coming from specific keywords and countries, and identify opportunities for improving your website's search engine performance.

Here's how the organic traffic feature works in Seodity:

**Go to the "Organic Traffic" tab in your project settings in Seodity.**

<figure><img src="/files/Me1GUo4EACFNKZm15kz7" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Seodity will analyze the organic traffic that your website is receiving and extract information about the volume of traffic, CPC, keyword difficulty, the keywords users used to find your website and the countries they are coming from.**

<figure><img src="/files/7BcnNPop9iwPYZLgJTUN" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

The results will be displayed in a table and graph, showing the organic traffic data over time, the breakdown of traffic by keywords, and the top landing pages.

From there, you can analyze the data to understand how your website's search engine performance is impacting your organic traffic.

Use the data to identify opportunities for improving your website's search engine performance, such as optimizing your content for specific keywords or targeting specific countries.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Good to know:** By adding these keywords to the Rank Tracker, you can monitor their performance and see how your website's ranking is affected over time. This can help you to identify any changes that may have impacted your website's search engines performance, such as algorithm updates or changes to your competitors' websites.

Additionally, you can also use the rank tracker to track the ranking of your competitors' keywords. This will give you insights about their strategies and also give you an idea of how to improve your own website.
{% endhint %}

# Keywords Intersection

Seodity's keyword intersection feature is a powerful tool that allows you to compare the organic search rankings of multiple websites and identify common keywords that are driving traffic to those websites. This information can be used to inform your content and online marketing strategies and to identify opportunities for improving your website's search engine performance. Here are the steps on how to use it:

**Click on the "**[**competitors**](/getting-started/finding-and-adding-competitors)**" input in the Organic Traffic tab, and select the website you want to compete.**

Additionally, sorting the data by various parameters such as search volume, CPC, or competition can help you identify the most valuable keywords to target. Using these options will allow you to make the most out of the keyword intersection feature and make better decisions based on the data you receive.
{% endhint %}

# Keywords Gap

{% hint style="info" %}
**Good to know:** Focus on the long-tail keywords. These are longer and more specific keywords that are less competitive and can be easier to rank for. By identifying long-tail keywords that your competitors are ranking for but your website is not, you can take steps to optimize your content and online marketing strategies to target those keywords and improve your website's search engine performance.
{% endhint %}

Seodity's keyword gap feature is a powerful tool that allows you to compare the keywords that your website is ranking for with the keywords that your competitors are ranking for and identify gaps in your website's search engine performance. By identifying these gaps, you can take steps to improve your website's search engine performance and drive more traffic to your website.

Here's how the keyword gap feature works in Seodity:

1. Click on the "[competitors](/getting-started/finding-and-adding-competitors)" input in the Organic Traffic tab, and select the website you want to compete.

<figure><img src="/files/y5Dtvu2fWMM32muZmfXn" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# On-site

{% embed url="<https://youtu.be/Ib3N3DzuHsY>" %}

On-site Audit allows you to analyze and identify potential issues on your website that may be affecting its performance in search engines. The audit analyzes **over 100 factors** that can affect your website's visibility and rank in search engine results pages (SERPs).

Before you can start the audit, you'll need to verify your domain. Seodity offers three different methods for domain verification:

1. By adding a DNS record
2. By adding an empty HTML file (with the name generated by Seodity)
3. By adding an HTML tag to the homepage

<figure><img src="/files/2YCuRFeBxcAo0WsY8Uuy" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Once you have verified your domain, you can access the On-site Audit by going to the "On-site Audit" tab in your project settings in Seodity.

The audit process can take a few hours, depending on the size of your website. After the analysis is complete, you will receive an email with the results. The audit report will highlight any potential issues that were found and provide a summary of their impact on your website's performance. You can drill down into specific issues for more detailed information and instructions on how to fix them.

<figure><img src="/files/7m11F79SqkVGfbEICn8Q" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Good to know:** Prioritize the issues that were identified by the audit. Start by addressing the high-impact issues first, as they are likely to have the greatest impact on your website's performance. Then, work your way down the list, addressing the remaining issues in order of importance. This will help you to make the most of your time and resources and see the biggest improvements in your website's performance in the shortest amount of time.

In addition to identifying issues, Seodity's On-site Audit also provides advanced options for analysis, such as the Data Explorer, which allows you to conduct advanced filtering of the audit data to get a more in-depth understanding of your website's performance.

<figure><img src="/files/3ive2fgO1RQqdvHkVMbm" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Audit

{% hint style="info" %}
**Good to know:** Perform regular SEO audits to identify and fix technical issues that may be affecting your website's performance, visibility, and user experience. Use Seodity's On-site Audit for a comprehensive analysis and clear, actionable instructions for how to fix identified issues.
{% endhint %}

On-site Audit is an automated tool that checks for a wide range of issues that can affect your website's performance, SEO, and user experience. It groups issues by type, making it easy to identify and fix problems that may be affecting your website's ranking and visibility.

One of the key features of Site Audit is its ability to check for performance-related issues such as slow pages, large CSS or HTML files, and more. These issues can significantly slow down your website, resulting in a poor user experience and a lower ranking in search engines.

<figure><img src="/files/3ToJ3bqYnSHaFY5PO7UG" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

The Site Audit also checks for issues related to HTML tags, such as missing, duplicate, or non-optimal length of title tags, meta descriptions, and H1 tags. These issues can affect your website's visibility in search engines and the way your pages appear in search results.

<figure><img src="/files/PVarfVdzl6judyzvEXWL" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Additionally, Site Audit checks for issues related to social tags, such as incomplete or missing Open Graph tags and Twitter cards. These tags are important for social media sharing and can affect the way your pages appear when shared on social media platforms.

<figure><img src="/files/3fTwgCpJek7rCH8Hthim" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

The Site Audit also checks for content quality issues, such as low word counts, and unconsolidated duplicate pages, which can negatively impact your website's ranking and visibility.

<figure><img src="/files/mpWOY3hKTyf9cvTNRZnO" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Other issues that Site Audit checks include localization issues with Hreflang, issues with incoming and outgoing links, and issues with resources such as images, JavaScript, CSS.

<figure><img src="/files/4vnVISyT8J8M26lySrMz" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

The Site Audit also pulls printable reports, this can make it easy to share your analysis with others or to keep a record of your website's performance over time.

<figure><img src="/files/YTSVUKxTVxT4AnyuzP1r" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Seodity's Site Audit is that it provides clear and actionable instructions for each issue it detects. When an issue is identified, the Site Audit provides a detailed description of the problem and what it is affecting, as well as specific instructions for how to fix it. This makes it easy for website owners and SEO professionals to understand and address the issues identified by the Site Audit. The instructions are usually clear and easy to follow, even for those who are not technically proficient.&#x20;

<figure><img src="/files/gQYjEbsGpQb08HpYygop" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Data Explorer

Data Explorer allows you to fully explore and analyze the data collected by Seodity's crawler. It's designed for technical SEOs who want to go deeper than pre-defined issues and have full control over their data.

The Data Explorer allows you to create custom filters based on numerous parameters. This enables you to focus on specific areas of your website's performance and identify trends and patterns that may not be immediately obvious in the raw data.

How to set your filters in the Data Explorer:

You have two methods for that:

1. You can click on a specific issue, and all of the filters will be set by Seodity.

<figure><img src="/files/M8HeWLxPh9EAos2CNg02" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

1. You can do it manually:

<figure><img src="/files/3ive2fgO1RQqdvHkVMbm" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

From displaying data on a specific property for a segment of pages to screening it out entirely across every crawled page, Data Explorer provides you with a high level of flexibility.

With Data Explorer, you're a simple click away from seeing every detail of each specific URL, including incoming and outgoing links, hreflang, pagination, duplicates, and resources. This level of detail can help you to identify and fix technical issues that may be affecting your website's performance.

# Performance

Performance is an important aspect of any website, as it directly impacts user experience and can affect search engine rankings. The Performance feature in Seodity is designed to help website owners identify and address any issues that may be impacting the speed and overall performance of their site.

The performance analysis in Seodity is based on Google Lighthouse, an open-source tool that provides a comprehensive report on the performance of a website. This report includes information on the site's loading speed, speed index, time to interact, and more.

To access the Performance tab in Seodity, simply navigate to the On-site tab and select Performance from the drop-down menu. Here, you will be presented with a detailed report that includes information on the site's performance across different devices and connections, as well as specific issues that may be impacting performance.

Some of the key areas that Seodity's Performance tab will analyze include:

* Loading time: Seodity measures the time it takes for your website to fully load, and provides recommendations for reducing load time.
* Time to First Byte (TTFB): This metric measures the time it takes for the browser to receive the first byte of data from the server. A high TTFB can indicate that the server is taking too long to respond or that there are network issues.
* Speed Index: This metric measures how quickly the content of a page is visibly populated. A high-speed index can indicate that the page is taking too long to load.
* Time to Interactive (TTI): This metric measures the time it takes for a page to become fully interactive for the user. A high TTI can indicate that there are issues with the page's code or resources that are impacting interactivity.
* Code Quality: This section of the report will analyze the code on the site and identify any issues, such as broken links, missing alt tags, and more.
* Resources: This section will analyze the resources on the site, such as images and scripts, and identify any issues that may be impacting performance.
* Resource size: Seodity analyzes the size of your website's resources, such as images, CSS and JavaScript files, and provides recommendations for optimizing and reducing their size.
* Code structure: Seodity checks the structure of your website's code, including HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and provides recommendations for improving the organization and efficiency of the code.
* Mobile optimization: Seodity checks for issues related to mobile optimization, such as responsive design and touch-friendly elements, and provides recommendations for improving the mobile experience of your website.

Once you have reviewed the report, you can use the provided recommendations to address any issues and improve the performance of your site. You can also use the Data Explorer to dive deeper into the data and customize your analysis. And you can track your progress with the performance metrics on a daily basis.

By regularly monitoring the performance of your site with Seodity's Performance tab, you can ensure that your site is running at its best and providing a great user experience for your visitors.

# Redirect flow

Redirect flow allows you to track and manage your website's redirects easily. With this feature, you can see a visual representation of all redirects on your website, including the source URL, the destination URL, and the type of redirect (e.g., 301, 302, etc.).

<figure><img src="/files/DWSYGKnVWxY5HyrfrIZC" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

One of the key benefits of using the redirect flow is that it can help you identify and fix any redirect chains or loops that may be slowing down your website. These issues can occur when multiple redirects are in place, causing the browser to follow multiple redirects before reaching the final destination. By identifying these issues and resolving them, you can help improve your website's performance and user experience.

Another key area that redirect flow can help with is identifying redirects that are no longer necessary. For example, if you've recently changed the URL structure of your website, you may have set up redirects to redirect traffic from the old URLs to the new URLs. However, if these redirects are no longer necessary (e.g., if all of the traffic has been redirected), then they can be safely removed, which can help improve your website's performance.

Additionally, the Redirect flow can also help you identify any potential crawl errors, as well as any redirects that might be blocking search engines from crawling your website. This is important because if search engines are unable to crawl your website, then it will be difficult for them to index your pages, which can negatively impact your search engine rankings.

# Keywords Cloud

With Seodity's Keyword Cloud, you can easily analyze the most frequently used keywords on a specific webpage. This powerful tool allows you to gain insight into the language and topics that are most relevant to your webpage's content.

To access the Keyword Cloud feature, first navigate to the "On-site" tab in Seodity.&#x20;

<figure><img src="/files/S2K2pHCB2qjXrZLiyJen" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Next, select the "Keyword Cloud" option. Here, you will be prompted to enter the URL of the webpage you want to analyze.

<figure><img src="/files/9sABCZ7RdLMFIoFrrXRA" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Once you've entered the URL, Seodity will generate a cloud of keywords, with the most frequently used keywords appearing in a darker color. The percentage of usage for each keyword is also displayed, allowing you to quickly see which keywords are most important for your webpage's content.

<figure><img src="/files/fn7ygckwKBKHC3LVE4KF" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

This feature is particularly useful for identifying the main topics of your webpage, as well as the language and terminology that are most relevant to your audience. It can also help you identify any gaps in your content and make informed decisions about which keywords to target in future content.

<br>

# Crawler whitelisting

The On-Site Analysis Crawler requires access to your website for proper functionality. This process involves whitelisting, or permitting, specific IP addresses that our Crawler uses to request access to your website.

Here are the IP addresses you need to whitelist:

* **52.124.19.22**
* **23.157.192.18**
* **199.182.115.0**
* **149.20.247.85**
* **142.147.110.15**

In addition to adding these IP addresses to your whitelist, it would be beneficial to note the user agent used by our Crawler, which is:

"**Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; SeodityBot/3.1; +<https://seodity.com/bots>)**".

# Content Explorer

{% hint style="info" %}

This can be especially useful for content marketers and SEO professionals looking for inspiration for their next blog post or article. By exploring popular web pages, users can gain a better understanding of what topics are currently resonating with audiences and use this information to inform their own content strategy.
{% endhint %}

Step 1: Choose the website you want to analyze, you can select yourself, but in this case, we will show you how to analyze competitors. Choose the competitor you want to analyze.&#x20;

<figure><img src="/files/H0J87nObkco9JqIWXnpE" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Step 3: Browse the estimated organic traffic volume of the web pages to get an understanding of the popular content on your competitor's website.

<figure><img src="/files/RdqWyhxt8ObBUxXvCTEA" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Step 4: Click on the web pages that you find interesting to view the webpage and read the content.

<figure><img src="/files/ObQknWO8dWQbrXWselWy" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Step 5: Make a note of the topics and themes that are covered in the content and consider how they align with your competitor's overall inbound marketing strategy. Pay attention to the type of content they are creating, how often they publish new content, and what channels they are using to promote it.

<figure><img src="/files/AJoifpomNJM3gVOOAt3m" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Step 6: Repeat the process for multiple competitors to gain a broader understanding of the inbound marketing strategies that are being used in your industry.

Step 7: Compare the insights and ideas that you have gathered from your competitors to your own inbound marketing strategy. Identify any gaps or areas where you can improve your own strategy to better align with what is working for your competitors.

# Rank Tracker

Rank Tracker allows you to track your website's search engine rankings for specific keywords. By monitoring your rankings over time, you can gain valuable insights into how your website is performing in the search results and make data-driven decisions to improve your search engine optimization (SEO) efforts. Here are the steps to start using it:

{% hint style="info" %}
**Good to know:** If you don't have any idea what keyword you should track, use the Organic Traffic module to identify the keywords that are driving the most traffic to your website. By analyzing the data, you can identify the topics and keywords that resonate with your audience and make data-driven decisions to optimize your website and content for those keywords.

You can also use the Organic Traffic module to identify keyword gaps and intersections with your competitors. By comparing your website's performance to that of your competitors, you can identify keywords that they are ranking for that you are not.

# Cannibalization Alert

### Overview

This tool is designed to help detect keyword cannibalization, a scenario in which multiple pages from the same website compete for the same keyword, potentially undermining your SEO efforts and visibility.

### How the Feature Works

The Cannibalization Alert is represented **as a unique icon**, similar in appearance to the Pacman character eating another one, placed next to specific keywords. When the system detects potential cannibalization, the icon will appear, signaling that multiple URLs from your website compete for the same keyword, thus diluting the SEO impact.

<figure><img src="/files/l3HN9wD0yRl3818NqTEB" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Use Cases

#### Identifying Keyword Cannibalization

The primary use case of the Cannibalization Alert feature is to help you identify instances of keyword cannibalization. When you see the icon next to a keyword, this is an indication that there are potentially multiple pages on your website trying to rank for the same keyword.

#### Investigating the Issue

To dive deeper into the issue, click on the keyword associated with the cannibalization alert. This will open the keyword details view.<br>

<figure><img src="/files/zF7tpL8zmhB1kQolIw75" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

In this detailed view, navigate to the section titled "Indexed URLs." Here, you will see a table with columns labeled "URL" and "Position in the SERP".

<figure><img src="/files/izVHxAQR02xykeUNMm2P" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

1. The "URL" column shows the list of your site's URLs that are trying to rank for the selected keyword.
2. The "Position in the SERP" column shows each corresponding URL’s ranking in the Search Engine Results Pages.

These data allow you to identify which URLs might be conflicting with each other and causing keyword cannibalization.

### An Example Scenario

For instance, suppose you have two blog articles on your website, both targeting the keyword "SEO best practices." After inputting your site and keywords into Seodity, you see the cannibalization alert icon next to "SEO best practices."

By clicking the keyword, you are presented with the Indexed URLs section. It shows that two blog post URLs from your site rank for "SEO best practices" their positions are 8 and 10 in the SERP, respectively.

This information lets you know that you might need to reconsider your keyword strategy for these pages, perhaps by adjusting the keywords used, combining the content, or redirecting one page to another.

### Conclusion

The Cannibalization Alert feature in Seodity's Rank Tracker helps you detect and understand keyword cannibalization on your website. By identifying and addressing such issues, you can optimize your SEO strategy and improve your website's visibility in search results. Remember to regularly monitor your keywords for cannibalization alerts and react accordingly to maintain the effectiveness of your SEO efforts.

# Keyword research

Seodity's Keyword Research is a tool for discovering the best keywords for your business. The tool offers three different methods for researching keywords: **Keyword Suggestions**, **Keyword Ideas**, and **Related Keywords**.

## The Keyword Suggestion method

It is based on a full-text search for the specified keyword. This means that the algorithm returns only those search terms that contain the keyword. The returned keyword suggestions can contain the words from the specified key phrase in a sequence different from the one you specify.

<figure><img src="/files/aQmDm7Cvp7YEdLmvXcxX" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

As a result, you will get a list of long-tail keywords, with each keyword in the list matching the specified search term. Along with each suggested keyword, you will get its search volume rate for the last month, search volume trend for the previous 12 months, as well as current cost-per-click and keyword difficulty values. This information is extremely valuable as it can help you identify the best keywords to target for your business.

## The Keyword Ideas method

It is similar to the Keyword Suggestions method, but it focuses on keywords that fall into the same category as the specified seed keywords. This method is useful for discovering new keywords that you may not have considered before. Along with each suggested keyword, you will get its search volume rate for the last month, search volume trend for the previous 12 months, as well as current cost-per-click and keyword difficulty values.

<figure><img src="/files/A44Eox9tk1aJI00OFK1j" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## The Related Keywords method

It is based on the "searches related to" element of Google SERP. This method returns keywords that are related to the specified keyword. Along with each suggested keyword, you will get its search volume rate for the last month, search volume trend for the previous 12 months, as well as current cost-per-click and keyword difficulty values.

# How to find long-tail keywords?

Seodity's Keyword Research module has always been an essential tool for businesses looking to improve their search engine optimization (SEO) and drive more traffic to their website. And now, we're excited to introduce new filters that make it even easier to find highly specific long-tail keywords for your business.

With our filters, you can refine your keyword research to find highly specific phrases your target audience is searching for. By selecting the "greater than", "less than", or "equal to" filter and entering a specific number of words, you can find long-tail keywords that are highly targeted and have less competition than broader keywords.

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p8ey48qDscs>" %}

So, how can you use these new filters to improve your SEO and drive more traffic to your website? Here are some examples:

#### Example 1: Shoes

Step 1: Type a generic Keyword in the keyword input, for example, **Shoes,** and click Search:<br>

<figure><img src="/files/hMYLvW0nlUlkh7FJRMEc" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Step 2: Click filters and select a specific number of words or greater than, for example, greater than 4:<br>

<figure><img src="/files/liqpNFult9WGoLmENWgH" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Step 3: You will get long-tail keywords that can be easier to rank on:

<figure><img src="/files/vDzDCvKdQE9EmRlpZ0WI" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Incorporating these highly specific long-tail keywords into your content can improve your search engine ranking and drive more qualified traffic to your website. And with Seodity's new filters, finding the right keywords for your business has never been easier.

# Backlinks

Backlinks, also known as inbound links or incoming links, are links from one website to another. They are an important factor in search engine optimization (SEO) as they signal to search engines that other websites consider the content on your website to be valuable and relevant. In other words, backlinks are a way for search engines to gauge the popularity and authority of your website.

In Seodity, our backlink analysis tool allows you to track and analyze the backlinks pointing to your website easily. You can see the number of backlinks, the domain authority of the linking website, the anchor text used, and the type of link (follow or nofollow). This information can help you identify both the strengths and weaknesses of your backlink profile and make informed decisions about link-building strategies.

<figure><img src="/files/KnjxxDRJwtUln3ACclwV" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

One of the most important things to keep in mind when analyzing your backlinks is the quality of the links. Not all backlinks are created equal. In fact, having a large number of low-quality backlinks can actually harm your search engine rankings. That's why our backlink analysis tool includes a spam score, which is a metric that indicates the likelihood that a link is from a low-quality or spammy website. By monitoring your spam score, you can identify and disavow any links that may be hurting your search engine rankings.

<figure><img src="/files/jfYNUpshksTjHBgdRhqB" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

In addition to analyzing your own backlinks, our tool also allows you to spy on your competitors' backlink profiles. This can give you insights into the link building strategies that are working for your competitors and can help you identify opportunities for your own website.

<figure><img src="/files/vNKdhchZjTozOVE2ZgS0" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Another important aspect of backlink analysis is monitoring the anchor text used in the links. Anchor text is the visible, clickable text in a hyperlink.&#x20;

<figure><img src="/files/IrptCbiZyiPg8YK3ShI8" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

<figure><img src="/files/ZkR3SG21siwLXfazgLqG" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

It's important to monitor anchor text because search engines use it as a signal of the topic of the linked page. This means that if a large number of links are using the same anchor text, it may indicate that the website is attempting to manipulate search engine rankings. Our tool allows you to easily monitor the anchor text used in links to your website, so you can identify and address any issues.

# Google SERP API

### Overview

Seodity SERP API allows you to execute search requests in real time, returning clean, structured JSON data based on different parameters such as query, location, language, and device.

### Authorization

Authorization is required for making requests to the Seodity SERP API. It involves passing your unique API key that you receive when you register with Seodity, so the server can validate and grant access to the resources requested.

The API key should be included in the header of every API request, under the field "Authorization". The key needs to be prefixed with the term "APIKey" followed by a space. So, your HTTP GET request should contain an Authorization header that looks like this: `Authorization: APIKey <api_key>`. Replace `<api_key>` with your actual API key.

This ensures that your requests to the Seodity SERP API are authenticated and properly processed. If the API key is missing or invalid, the server responds with an error.
